These are plush, but not too plush to use in the kitchen, or wherever. They feel great underfoot, I will use the vacuum & my rug shampooer when needed, since we will use in the kitchen. They stick well enough to our tile floor, but for a size smaller than the runner, you may want to use a rubber backer. The nap catches light in different ways, so it is not just one color of brown plus the dark design. They are well made, just what I was looking for!
