Sturdy, attractive benches.Very easy to put together, it took longer for me to unpack and discard the packaging than it did to assemble. Nothing trickier than maybe needing pliers to get the extra staples out of the bottom of the bench (that hold the parts to the bottom).I got two, which I placed not at the dining table, but around the house where somebody might want to sit for a moment, or to set things down. My cats also like having something to sit under, so I favor furniture that gives them that opportunity. As dining benches, they might be a couple of inches lower than other designs? But that makes for a good base to put something on the wall above them.Other thoughts: there was a brief whiff of wood stain when the bench is first unbagged, but it dissipated almost immediately.If I change my mind about how I'm using them, I might replace some of my dining chairs, but for the moment they are a nice choice for around-the-house benches.
