Bought this desk for use to work from home.I'm giving this desk 5 stars, because for what it is, and the price, I think it warrants 5 stars. If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go to a store and choose a desk, have it delivered and installed.Once assembled, I was pleased with the desk's sturdiness and value for what i received. It doesn't seem cheap.The desk comes in a box unassembled. The box is 4 feet long, about 2 feet wide and and 4" thick. The package is heavy and was a challenge for me, an adult male, to move. Warning labels on the box state two people should lift it. If you are moving this box upstairs, I'd recommend two people for sure.The desk was not too difficult to assemble, but not easy, either. There are alot of parts; desk parts, fasteners, screws. There are many steps to the assembly process. The assembly instructions provided are pictures only, but understandable.. I've got average skills and move slowly, and it took me about 3.5 hours to assemble the desk. My recommendation is to be organized and patient, if you want to undertake assembly of this desk. If you're not into doing projects like this, maybe hire someone else to do it, or buy a desk from a store where they offer assembly.The desk is adequate size for a laptop computer, extra monitor and phone. Also, there is a little bit of room for books or writing tablets.But, the desk is not as spacious as I would like it to be. It's hard to tell that when buying online and relying on the measurements. This is why I would go to a store to see the item before buying it, if I were to do it all over. However, I did check with the two major home supply stores, and the desks were not in stock, with delivery times of one to two weeks. I received this desk less than a week after ordering from Amazon, so shipping was fast.So, if you're looking for a good, sturdy desk for the price, and don't mind putting some effort into it, this desk is a good choice.I am disappointed that it has significant scratches all over it. I like the style.Solid structure. Took 40 mins to put it together. I had a little help from hubby but could've done it myself. Nice for the price.This was a time consuming assembly that I was not ready for. All the parts were marked correctly and the directions were spot on. Some of the locking screws were hard to reach which made the assembly difficult.However, all parts fit perfectly, it is very heavy and a very sturdy sturdy desk.The base for the hanging file drawer was missing.The only issue I had was the directions were missing a step or 2, it did take a while to put together but I still figured it out. There were a couple of scratches already on some of the pieces. They were minor, I did not reach out to the seller about it because it's not that big of a deal to me. All in all it's great for the price! I would buy it again!This desk very good quality.The box is pretty heavy and comes with a lot of parts, but once you get going, it's rather easy to put together. You spend most of the time assembling the drawer part, but after that it comes together quickly and is nice and stable.Take a careful look at the dimensions though. It's great for my purposes, but it is pretty small. I just put a lamp and a small printer on top and it looks cluttered.
