I am Diabetic snd buying this at the store a couple oz. At a time is super expensive! This is a much more economical way to buy it!This tastes fine but you need as much as regular sugar so it’s expensive to use.I used to buy another brand, but I thought I'd try this. I didn't think there'd be much difference in stevias. But this one doesn't taste as good. It's not as sweet. I've started using more of it, so that may fix the problem. But I think I'll go back to my old brand.I LOVE stevia but this blend makes me and my wife VERY SICK!Taste flat and does not taste sweet. It is sour tasting. I believe it may be an old product. I will not buy this again and I do not recommend it.Stevia measures cup by cup the same as sugar. That makes it easy to use when adapting recipes for someone who can’t have sugar. It’s calorie-free. It’s also gluten-free, non-GMO & is a low glycemic index sweetener. Diabetics can use it safely & it also fits on a Keto diet, however, it does have 4 carbohydrates per teaspoon so caution needs to be exercised.I really like stevia & it’s much safer than other no-calorie sweeteners. However, it does have 4 grams of carbohydrates per teaspoon, which is a lot when following a Keto diet. This form of stevia can be used for baking & cooking & tastes pretty much like sugar because it doesn’t have the metallic aftertaste that I usually associate with it. This fibrelle brand of Stevia looks like granulated sugar so in a sugar bowl, it can fool people. While it measures the same as sugar, it doesn’t always give the same results that you get from sugar in recipes. It’s rhubarb season here so I made a rhubarb custard pie, substituting the 2 cups of sugar with 2 cups of stevia. I left the crust off since I’m Keto. It wasn’t the same consistency as it didn’t make the syrup that forms when the sugar is dissolved although the flavor was there. It wasn’t as good as the original but it was acceptable & I ended up eating all of it before it went bad. The filling was almost cake-like & I did have an aftertaste but it also was really nice to get to enjoy something I hadn’t had for at least a year.My favorite thing about this stevia product is that it’s granulated & doesn’t seem to product the metallic aftertaste. The only thing I don’t like is the grams of carbs stevia has but there’s nothing that can be done about it.My husband and I watch our sugar intake and we've used artificial sweeteners for years. I'm hooked on aspartame and he swills down sucralose products, but we know neither are good for us, so over the last year we've been switching to more natural sweeteners. And our favorite is stevia mixed with erythritol.Fibrelle's stevia/erythritol blend is good. You can bake with it, but we mainly use it in tea and on oatmeal. The blend is what makes stevia downright palatable. Erythritol is a sugar alcohol, so its carbs don't count because the body doesn't absorb them. But that does mean you might not want to consume a huge amount quickly lest more than erythritol leaves your digestive tract too fast. I once ate an entire chocolate bar containing it (just erythritol) in just a few minutes. That wasn't so great. But a spoonful or two of this stevia with erythritol blend on my cereal gives me absolutely no ill effects. This healthier-for-you blend of stevia and erythritol tastes great to us -- really great -- but keep in mind that we're already very used to artificial sweeteners. I do recommend Fibrelle's offering without hesitation, but you may need a little time to get used to it.I got two kinds of this sweetener - the 1:1 and 1:2. The packaging doesn't make it super clear which is which, unless you read the fine print, so that's a little weird. This 1:1 tastes wonderful. Very much like regular sugar, especially in tea and on toast, fruit, etc. The Erythritol, Stevia Extract blend is balanced well and doesn't have any off or stand out flavors.I haven't cooked with it, so I'm not sure how well it would do in baked goods, but I can say it's quite good in other applications.
