I have seen a couple reviews stating the case has an bad smell. I am yet to smell any bad smell from the case, and I don't belive that will change. The case is very well constructed and fits my 2018 Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top Pro absolutely perfectly. I love the gold interior and lighter brown exterior with the dark brown trim. The gold colored latches, and hinges are a very nice touch. All of the hardware appears to be made of quality materials and components. I like that there is a latch on the hinge side of the case for additional security to confuse my toddler. I know that if I forget to lock it that it will slow her down enough for me to hear what is going on from the next room. The interior is very plush, and the color compliments the "Blood Orange" (Nice try Epiphone, that is red) color of my guitar. The exterior is wrapped with a fairly thick, for the purpose, leather like, rubber material. I feel it will hold up for a very long time. If it does wear out I will just wrap it with brown leather and call it good. The stitching used on the bindings is very nice and well done. I have absolutely zero complaints. You will be very hard pressed to find a new case, for this price point, made to the same quality. At the time of purchase the case costed me $79.99 + $17.86 for shipping. Including tax around $104. The quality far surpasses Gator, and many of the others I have looked at in the past. Don't waste your time and money buying those products from Guitar Center.
