I'll start with saying that I don't normally leave reviews, but I feel like I should with these. Deciding on what boots to buy based on online reviews is hard because of how subjective different people think boots should fit and how boots actually fit can be. These fit me pretty well, are relatively comfortable and look good. The toe box is sized nicely. With that being said, everything else is about the quality of the boot not the fit. The leather seems pretty decent; it is definitely more textured than I expected. It definitely isn't smooth leather that's on most other boots. My pair is pretty wrinkly, not sure if they all would be that way though. I don't hate it but some people might not like the look. I'd give 4.5 stars based on these points, but there are a few things that subtract for me. First off is the overall feel of the boot. They are very light. I personally don't feel these should be as light as they are for the type of boot. I mean they shouldn't weigh a ton, but they aren't hikers either. I suspect the midsole is just some compressed cardboard. I'm not a big fan of the giant pull tabs on the front of the opening either, I just don't think they agree necessary. Then there's the insoles. They are junk. They are just cheap foam; probably won't last 6 months. The left one is too long too, it is bunched up under my toes. Not a big deal, I'll just trim it down.Even with the things I don't like, I'll still keep these. I bought these for occasional casual wear so I don't think it'll be a big deal. If I was planning on wearing these every day or for harder use, I don't think I'd keep them. I just don't think they'd hold up for that. I'd also send them straight back if I paid more that 100 bucks. They're absolutely not worth 175 or whatever full retail is.
