I was worried about buying chairs without testing them out first. I had bought cheap chairs first and they were horribly uncomfortable. So I was scared these would be also. I am heavy (210) and these chairs are so comfy omg! I am so happy I went with them. I don’t mind that they have a shorter back than tall backed chairs. It’s all about what you prefer. They suit me fine. Ps, I bought the ones on Amazon that were ‘used’ and there was nothing wrong with them at all. I needed 6 and had bought a 4pack at full price then bought a 2pack ‘used’ on amazon and got lucky.Update: it is 9 months later and I still love these chairs! They have held up well! I added a pic for comparison of chair height to table height. Note: height of seat is perfect for standard table height and eating-so no worries there. Just that some people like to have dinner chairs with high backs but these do not have high backs. I prefer them being this height for my small dining area.
