Every copper sink should come with a grate. I have five copper sinks in my home, and the two in my kitchen, both have these heavy sturdy grates. When you have these grates present and utilize them correctly, you will not have a lot of staining or damage that occurs to your beautiful copper sinks. Cleaning the copper, requires the green scrubby pad, normally once a week. Followed by the protective coating spray. And please do not use any of that bad cleaner that returns your sinks to a copper penny shine. When I see people do that, it gives me heart palpitations and severe angina. The sinks with these grates will maintain their beautiful patinas forever.And, I actually have backup grates for all of my sinks, because I'm afraid they will stop making them. HAHAHAHAHA
