In case of creases - roll the rug in the opposite direction, while applying pressure to the rug - take the edge, flip it where there is a crease, and slowly pull the rug back, while applying a downward pressure on the crease
Back in the day, when we had a plump savings account, I fancied the idea of getting a hand knotted "real" rug. We shopped around at reputable shops and came down to choosing a beautiful Turkish Malmuk style rug. Then I got my head on straight and realized we aren't really the Rockefellers. This rug is in that chosen style, but 8K less. True, it is machine made polyester, and the colors are not as rich or detailed. However, it is in the ball park and I can't argue with the price difference. I really like this rug, I only wish I'd bought a larger one. The colors are muted; the blue is sort of a denim color blue, the dominant color is tan, and I like the red, sort of a brick red, not too bright. My favorite thing about this design is that, even with so much going on, it all blends together and falls into the background. The rug us fairly thin, which works for me since my grandma won't trip on it. I also imagine it would fit under a door if you wanted to place one there. Even though it is thin, it is nice and soft. I haven't had the rug long enough to test the wear and tear but so far we are very happy and I'm getting lots of compliments. One guest asked if it was an antique, to be fair I think the lights were on low which does help it look lovely. Ok Unique Loom, please keep these Turkish style rugs in stock and I'll buy another one in a few months for the dining room.
