I have been playing violin for less than a year, so I'm not that experienced with cases. I got this case not long ago, so I am not sure of long term means.This case is very beautiful, and I think that it is nice. My 4/4 Kun shoulder rest fits well into the compartment if I adjust the legs. Both case compartments have lots of room (especially the bottom one) to hold things like a mute, tuner, digital metronome, etc. There is also lots of room for storage of a maybe a cloth and sheet music since the whole top layer of the case on the outside is zippered. This is a really nice case to me, but I do have a concern with it.I might just be too tedious, but the bridge of the violin pushes into the case when it is closed. That might not be an issue, but it worries me. There is a indention in the case where that has happened. It is very possible that I am being too picky, but be sure to consider that in case (haha, case!) you are picky like me.I hope this helps!
