Do not get me wrong, these boots look great but they do not seem very sturdy. To be honest, i ended up using them as regular boots for dress (they are pretty nice looking in person).Every time I rode, I did not feel confident that they would hold up in an accident, and to top it off they barely go past the ankle. I would not recommend these boots for riding. They do not offer any lower calf/higher ankle support, they are very light and did not give me any confidence in the CE rating that they came with. I have two other boots that I use for riding and the weight alone makes me feel that the CE rating is "funny." No way will these boots hold together if you go down in a wreck.
