Have done a LOT of research on motorcycle boots. Did NOT want Moto-X boots this time !!! Have had a few pair over the decades. Didn't like ANY of them. Can't feel the shifter or brake lever with Moto-X. Pulled the trigger on these Gaerne, Italian boots. They fit VERY well. Seems protective in all the right places. KNOWING that they are a compromise of the Moto-X overkill of protection, I can now feel the shifter & brake lever. More like a Trials Bike boot. Moves well when walking. Brake in time is very short. So, I can now explore on my bike & go for short hikes if I want to.
