It’s super easy to put together and looks very modern/bohemian. My favorite shelf!This shelf is not very sturdy/not high quality for the money and quite hard to put together because of this, HOWEVER, the final look of it is actually really cute so I still gave it 4 stars. I think it will hold up, but the pieces didn’t fit well together and it wasn’t quite as sturdy as what I expected for the money. I didn’t look at a lot of other shelves so you may be able to find something better for the price point, but all of that aside, I do really like the look!I received the Nathan James Carlie 5-Shelf Bookcase Display which was purchased from Amazon as a gift from my mom for my nursery. I was instantly obsessed with how beautiful the bookcase was. Unfortunately, there were a few imperfections on it. I contacted the actual Nathan James customer service team (not Amazon) and they were extremely helpful! They resolved my issue super quickly!! I didn’t have to take the bookshelf apart and ship it back to them like most places would require.Instead, they sent me what I needed to have a perfect bookcase. I can’t emphasize enough how beautiful this bookcase is and how incredibly amazing customer service is! They are very responsive and friendly. They answer all of your questions and resolve your issue. They are very kind and friendly. And on top of all this, they sent me Godiva chocolate (literally my favorite chocolate! Don’t know how they knew that lol). It was the sweetest gesture to open my mailbox and see chocolates from this company. I was beyond happy with their customer service even before this incredibly nice gesture.The bookcase is nice, heavy duty wood and each shelf can take a lot of weight! It’s perfectly made for my little indent space in my nursery. I often pass by the room and look at how good it looks.I can’t emphasize how highly I recommend this company!! I don’t need any other furniture at the moment but knowing they have your back without making it difficult, I will definitely be shopping with them in the future and recommending them to everyone I know.The bookshelf was really easy to put together and it’s sturdy.Design: Probably the best A-frame bookshelves out there.Packaging:- Styrofoam Farm!Build:- Deceiving language on product description. Title says it's hardwood. But only the frame is hardwood. The shelves are made with a very bad quality MDF.- Screw inserts on two of the shelves were too deep that it wasn't possible for the provided screws to meet the insert-grooves.- Provided tools are less than ideal to finish assemblyDelivery:- It's heavy. Amazon fulfills this order. Amazon should probably pay fulfilment partners enough so that the delivery personnel don't take it out on the item and leave it mangled and often times ripped open in the process of getting it to your door. (Bad eCommerce from Amazon)Christmas village and decorations display. Essay to assemble nice finish in parts.Edited:The bookshelf has a very strong offgassing smell out of the box and it lasted for over a week. It did bother us for a while, but the customer service is very responsive and I really appreciate their help. The smell is getting a bit better after we leave it in the garage for the whole day with all doors and windows open. Other than that, the bookshelf itself looks nice and is very sturdy so I would keep it. If you are sensitive to offgassing smells, or if you do not have enough space to leave it there for several days, I would suggest you confirm whether they have solved this problem before purchasing.I was very pleased with the sturdiness of the bookshelves for the price. The directions for assembly were pretty easy to follow. My only complaint would be that the products got quite marked up/battered in the course of delivery. I chose to keep the shelving units because other than being marked up a bit I loved them; and I plan to decorate them as Christmas trees and cover them with lights, garland, and snow (so I can cover the marks up). I would definately order them again, because they are quite study for the price!!8/10 would recommend.I bought this as a shelf/bar for my office and am pleased with the as-built. It is sleek, the colors are as advertised, and it was fairly easy to assemble.It would be a five star but for two issues: (1) the wooden "legs" don't match up perfectly where the different segments connect, i.e., there are slight differences in coloration and the connections aren't completely flush; and, (2) there were scratches and incomplete painting on the bottom of the white shelves, which normally wouldn't be an issue but which are visible under the upper shelves when seated nearby.The above issues can be overlooked, but doing so is more difficult when the high pricetag is considered.
