It is made of very good quality leather and has a more elegant look than the usual Birkenstocks but is just as comfortable.I have only one comment to make regarding the delivery by Post Luxembourg - I was home all day on the day of delivery. The box was left in an unlocked space underneath my locked letter box but the postman did not ring the bell to let me know that it had been delivered and could have been stolen by anyone in the building. Had I not checked the tracking on Amazon I would not have realised it had been delivered.
