I already had Clarke's Sugar Spice Loafer and loved them, so figured I would get another style so I don't wear those out too soon. So, I got these, which are a classic, simple loafer. They are not as stylish as the Sugar Spice, but they are a good, decent shoe. What's nice about them is the heel is a comfortable height and both the heel and toe area are rubber, so they grip the ground well and don't make that annoying "click clack" walking sound that plastic bottoms make. While not fabulous on styling, this is a solid, well made classic for everyday casual-dressy wear. I can wear 7.5 or 8, ordered these in 7.5 (they wear a little tight, but I stretched them with a shoe stretcher and now they are ok).This is my second pair of Clark's shoes. I think their shoes run a little larger than other shoes, as I bought a size 8 in the first pair, which were a little long, and then bought a size 7.5 in this shoe and extra wide, and it fit really well. I historically have purchased 8.5 or 8's over the years, so a 7.5 to fit was a pleasant surprise. These shoes have lots of toe room and the heel is a perfect height to wear with pants, and I've even worn these with a dress, but the shoe design is more casual than I like for a pump. Overall very comfortable from the first day out, and were a good value. I would buy them again.It's seems fine in the length but it is tight across the instep. I think it's because there are 3 or 4 layers of leather attaching the shoe parts together at one point. I like the look of the shoe, just don't think I will keep it.There is an issue though with sizes...out of 4 pairs I baught for my wife the particular model was one size biger than it is labeled ...!!!!Appear to be very well done, leather shoes but unfortunately do not have slightly rounded shape at the toes as shown on the pictures. I had to return them.Do the shoe-makers really think that person's foot is going to fit into such narrow space?For business or casual, these shoes are perfect. Classic look for everyday wear. Comfortable right out of the box. This is my sixth pair of Clark's brand shoes and these are living up to my expectations. Give them a try...you will like them!Love these Clarks! I have several pair of Clarks and these did not disappoint. These are my dressy shoes to wear with nice pants, with enough of a heel to look dressy but most people would consider a low/med heel. Super comfortable & look real professional. I ordered my usual size. I did have some issue at first hearing a slight squeak when I walked, but I adjusted the removable insole and everything was ok.Narrow,I have wide feet.It is good only for 2 hours of wearing when you are teacher this is not good for you get the wide size.The good thing it is a good looking shoes.Thanks
