The "H" width is a well kept secret. Why Irish Setter doesn't call it "EEEE" I can't explain. I owned a pair of these boots in a size 11.5 H width for the past four years. The boots where comfortably snug with a thin pair of sock. when the weather got cold, no way could I wear a heavy sock. Finally went to a shoe store and had my foot measured by a pro. Turns out the heel to toe size was 12 EEEE but the instep was a size 13 EEEE. What a difference. My feet stay warm as toast and comfortable with heavy sock.The pair of boots I bought four years ago were ordered at the Red Wing shoe outlet in Red Wing, Minnesota. Took me six weeks to get the special ordered size. Finding the new boots on Amazon was a surprise. I had the boots in three days. (Nice!)The boots are made slightly different than the old boots, seem a little lighter and the leather finish isn't quite as good, but the stitching is just as solid. I have worn them into the timber only twice but found them to have the same great traction and ankle support. C
