Not as tall as I thought it would be. Rather close to the ground and the headboard is not very tall either. They probably designed this more for a kid rather than an adult. When I was shopping, underneath storage space was a consideration, so its disappointing not to have as much room for that. But that is really my only complaint. The bed seems solid and comfortable enough and I like the antique oak finish. Assembly was also fairly easy and they give you all the nuts and bolts along with an Allen wrench.This could have been a lovely bed, but it's shrunken down size makes it just okay.
