The stool is very comfortable and sturdy. Assembly is easy except for the installation of the two higher rungs. The unit consists of two lower rung/two leg subassemblies, two upper rungs that screw into the rung/two leg subassemblies, a cross shaped upper assembly with the swivel attached, and the seat. The instructions start the assembly process by screwing the upper rungs to the lower rung subassemblies at the same time. The upper rungs have threaded rods at each end with opposite hand threads and it is somewhat difficult to start each thread on the upper rung simultaneously. You need to squeeze the two leg subassemblies together to make sure the threads at each end of the upper rungs engage simultaneously.
