Amazon did a horrible packaging job. No padding was added to the box so the minimum ( depth dimension) slap back and forth in the box was about 5 inches! More slap on width and height. I expected the worst but it was OK. The strangest thing almost caused me to return it, however. The bird bill on the far left matched the one on the far right. Problem was that the background paint job behind the bill was done like all the other bills: didn’t match up. It was the first thing my wife saw. The bill did not look like it would be movable. But with some time I managed to get it mostly where it should have been. The bill tip now sticks out beyond the edge a little bit. Probably bent down prevent injury (its sharp) while packing.
