The plastic (female) catch mounted on the door of my Lance 1995 broke and for now I only replaced it. (I misordered a 4" instead of a 6" version, the plastic T-part is still good, and I didnt want to bother bending the new T-part). This product was not a perfect hole-fit for my application; while one hole fit, the other three were about 1/8" off. After drilling out the old rivets and removing the old caulking/sealant, I masked and patched the three holes with dabs of JBWeld and redrilled them. I used 3/16" diameter x 1/4" grip pop rivets with a bit of silicone sealant to mount the new catch-plate. NOTE that the old plastic rod is about 6" long and product is about 4". IF you don't (special) order the right length, you'll have to modify the door bumper (besides ensuring you have enough clearance... eg for the wheel fender). So glad to not have the plastic one to break again. The screw holes didn’t match mine, so I did have to make a couple of new ones, but it was a simple fix. So far it is holding up nicely. The hole is a little odd shaped and take some work to connect the “t” in, but I’m still very pleased with it.I purchased the plastic one and they failed due to the weight of the door. This latch screw holes lined up with the existing holes. Easy to install. Looks very good. No adjustments in the latch was needed. This t end fell into the existing receiver.Very nicely made, excellent quality and finish is awesome. Only problem I ran into was the angle. I replaced a plastic one that broke and it was alittle shorter and flexible, so I had to bend the catch on this one so that they lined up. But it works fine. No fault of the part, just different style than original, but this one is way better and I will not have it break on me like the plastic one.Easily manipulated to conform to angles needed for my open doors at the rear of my utility truck. This review is specifically for the stainless steel version of the 4" door catch holders. These are great. Use a set on each of my shed doors to stay them open. A must on breezy or windy days. Ordered these in stainless to replace a less expensive set that were zinc plated and which rusted badly over about 4 years. One caveat on the stainless variety. They came without screws so you will need your own. After install, it wouldn't latch without some tweaking to the receiver plate. I had to bend the corners slightly out for it to work correctly.I am using these to hold open my shed doors. I store my riding mower in this shed and the doors would close while I tried to go in and out of it. The door catches work great to keep the doors open.I was hoping that this product would hold my trailer doors open better than the previous plastic ones. They don’t.Not greatTrès bon produit et solide ?
