I wouldn't have originally bought the bamboo blind if my options weren't so limited while needing it. That being said, because of this I can say it was a better choice than what I was previously looking for.My previous blind was an outdated and warped 1" slats blind. I was looking for 2" slats thinking the larger slats would prevent them from warping from the sun. I wanted privacy in my bedroom, but also able to see outside with the flick of my wrist by twisting a wand. I didn't want my room darker just for the sake of privacy. Being my bedroom the blind wouldn't be lifted and lowered much, but I wanted the reliability of cords. Afraid the cordless would end up in a permanently open position when I needed it closed. So, with limited options and unavailability of the size I needed, I finally caved and got the bamboo. While the cord configuration is confusing to me, I have to say that I've been converted to this style of window shade. I have privacy without having to twist a wand at all. It's just naturally private when the sun is out. I went outside to look in my window from 3ft away and all I saw was bamboo. When inside I can see everything outside just as clear as I could when opening slats. My room is just as bright as it was with the slat blind. When it's dark I close my curtains as I've always done before. The next benefit is not nearly as much bright light shines from the top of my closed curtains. I work night shift and this is important to me. The blind sits flush with the wall and I screwed the hooks in 3-4 inches above window top. At noon today I closed the curtains and had to feel around the room for my doorknob. Not the case when my slat blind was up.I can't comment on whether it warps or disfigures in any way from the sun because it's winter right now. If it happens I'll add to my post. Otherwise, no news is good news. There was a minor bit of damage to a bamboo slat, what looks like a puncture hole. While mildly annoying because I know it's there from close contact from hanging, no one else will see it. It's off to the side and meets with the opened curtain edge.To me, the cords seem thin and not made for daily use. I could be wrong, but suggest considering that for windows you like to really open up during the day. This is why I gave 3 stars on Value For Money. For $50 I expect them to last longer than the 10 years my cheap mini-blinds went. I don't have confidence they will because of the cords. If I have an issue in the future I will post. Otherwise, no news is good news.My final verdict is that this is a great blind for indoor windows if you also have curtains. The ease of installing was so great you'll wonder how you dealt with so much hassle and pieces to screw in before. Perfect bamboo starter blind. I plan to use this type on other windows. My 4 star rating is based on it's current performance compared to what I had, and the shipping was in an appropriate sized box which didn't allow the product to move inside. The ends of the blind were also cushioned.I replaced 7, 2" faux wood white blinds with bamboo shades with a privacy background. We love them! When we pull them up, we leave about a foot to give it a valance type look. When they are open, our kitchen looks so bright and pretty. Super easy to install. We tuck the cord in the part that is rolled up, so we didn't need the hardware that holds the blind. It gives an over all clean look. Definitely keep cords out of reach of kids.we bought this for our back deck to keep the sun from coming in our windows and doors plus we have a big TV on our deck....easy to install blocks the sun and I need another one so I will be buying again....it is worth the moneyWe are using this screen on our gazebo. We bought the one and put it up with the intention of moving it side to side as the sun hits the gazebo. And as it hangs on hooks that is easy enough to do but we liked it so much we ordered a second one. So now all we have to do it roll it up or down on each side as needed. My husband and I are very happy with our bamboo blinds for our back porch. Blocks the sun perfectly. Highly recommend them. These are just what I needed to replace previous roll ups. Easy to install for me as I was able to hang from hooks already in place. I believe a good "bang for my buck". They look wonderful. I was hesitant because of bad reviews, but I am happy with them. Hoping they last a few years.Love these blinds! Easy to install, great uniformed look and definitely helps block out that blazing Sun in the afternoons. Definitely recommend! Have them on every window.Bought this for my balcony and I absolutely love them they were the perfect size and help keep it cooler on my BalconyLooks beautiful. Exactly what I needed for my office. I didn’t want blackout so this is perfect but the underlay does give nice additionalPrivacy. Easy to install and work well. I rolled the bottom the opposite way for the length I keep it at most so the underlay is not facing outGreat product easy install. Nice look does the job.
