this is a really great boot, stylish and comfortable. I work for a Renaissance/Re-enactment type entertainment and purchased these as an additional piece of footwear for particularly heavy performance days. Boot pulls are needed, and it is not stated in the description, so I had to order some new boot pull separately. I've worn them for a total of six 12 hour performance days so far, after the first 2 days I did invest in some boot insoles to make them more comfortable and they have remained comfortable since. I will admit while they fit nicely and look GREAT, you will need assistance in having them removed by the end of the day. As you break them in removing the boot becomes easier but you will need the help of another, preferably strong, person to help pull them off. I have gone through less than desirable conditions including rain, mud, grass, gravel, sand, and hard wood stage surfaces and they still look good with a quick wipe down at the end of the day with some saddle soap and a soft cloth. For the price and the quality combined, with the abuse I have given these boots thus far, you could not ask for a better riding boot.
