I have no idea why this frame such such bad reviews. It's great! I love the height, since it's not super low like you're lying on the floor. I had Amazon send someone to put it together with was worth the $$ IMHO. He used a power drill and it took about 1/2 hr, but I think using the tiny little tool included would take forever and kill your hands. The wood is very pretty and matches my hardwood floor well. The legs are nice and narrow and the whole thing feels light and airy and looks clean and modern. I just can't understand why there are so many bad reviews. I think maybe they are paid by other companies? This is a terrific bed frame people! You won't be disappointed. Solid wood! The only negative I could add is that it's a few inches bigger all the way around than the mattress. Maybe it's supposed to give room for the mattress to shift without falling off? Not a big deal.
