These are generally quite well made. They are stiff and require breaking in. I am 5-10 and they are built more for a 6' plus. They rub my knees a bit at the moment but will slouch more when the ankles break in. My calfs are just at the limit of the straps to fit. The only weak part of the construction is the inner part of the grommet for the straps wants to come off. This is not a dealbreaker for me. This is a particular style of old fashioned boot and to my knowledge the only place that makes them.
