I recently spent several months suffering from disc problems in my back and a broken tailbone. I have to work all day in an office chair, and by the time I got home, I was in agony and vacillated between pain and numbness in my limbs from the pressure I was putting on my spine and tailbone. On a whim, I bought this chair and I cannot begin the express the relieve it brought me.FYI - for reference I am 6'6", 300lbs +, and this chair was an awesome fit for me. It is sturdy, but has enough give in the seat to take the pressure off your spine. I know it's an accent chair, but at home I am using this in my study for working at a desk, watching TV, or doing whatever I need (note: if you're shorter than 6'6", this might not be ideal for deskwork, but it works great for me). As for assembly, it's easy. Two things to note - 1) all the parts are inside the seat of the chair, you just have to remove the cover, and 2) the assembly consists of putting a total of 8 total bolts into the four legs. It takes fifteen minutes, and I did it while in pretty intense back pain.I actually have two of these now - one gray and one white. The gray one looks fantastic and contemporary, the white one looks a little dated, but is still just as sturdy and comfortable.
