Absolutely gorgeous thing, heavy and beautiful. The only thing is, it's definitely TOO big for a single person, and despite changing the water regularly as well as adding salt to the water, the butter did go bad - it did NOT mold, but it absolutely went sour. So I had to stop using it. It's designed for two sticks of butter, 250 grams, so if you're at least two people who eat a lot of toast, or a family, it will be fine. It also has little holes in the side of the bell part that allow the water to stay close to the butter, which is one thing I wanted, as that helps keep the butter fresh. It's just too big for me, though.
