They are secured to the upper leg and are an "open" design which allow air circulation on the back side of the chaps. The batwing offers full length protection from trees, brush and other elements. Buckle and strap leg closure. Color may not match exactly as shown, shades of color on all leather can vary from batch to batch. Medium-Hip (36"-40"), Upper Thigh (24" at center hole), Outseam (40"). Large-Hip (40"-44"), Upper Thigh (26" at center hole), Outseam (41"). XL-Hip (42"-46"), Upper Thigh (28" at center hole), Outseam (42"). Size adjustment: The back belt is laced on in v-braid fashion and can be adjusted 2" larger. The back belt can be adjusted smaller if extra holes are punched.
