Quite pleased with both the look and function of this storage bench. We are able to store 4-5 larger, thicker lap robes inside, and the hinge holds the top open while we're putting them in or taking them out, yet it still closes easily when we want it to. Both the outside and inside are nicely finished, and the top is padded so that it's comfortable to sit on occasionally. I don't sit on it for extended periods of time -- that's what I have a recliner for -- but when I do need to sit on this bench, it feels very solid. Not sure what the weight limit is (I've seen various weight limit comments) but at 240 lbs, it can easily accommodate my weight; not at all flimsy.
