Number one thing is the quality. I used it on our dryer vent. Very solid and sturdy. When this closes, it closes great and stays closed, not like all of those cheap plastic ones that flop open and closed everytime the wind blows! This has a light spring on the top and a magnetic strip to keep it closed. There are no drill holes which I didn't care about anyway, I was going to drill four holes but it turned out for my application, I used silicone adhesive and then caulked around it. Looks great! The distance between my dryer and this vent is only about six feet, so it's fairly close. I was a little concerned that the door being metal would be heavy and not open all the way but it fully opens. I looked everywhere and couldn't find anything that comes close to this kind of quality. The price might seem high BUT in the long run I don't see having to change this out for a very long time which seems like a great deal to me. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone!
