The sling upholstery is great for outdoor wear and it does not hold water, so after a rain you can quickly sit on these chairs again. The construction has a lot of tension making the putting-together quite difficult. I've had these put together and outside (uncovered) for about a year and a half now and two of the chairs have broken along the stress points of the back strut in one case or the front let in another. The table remains quite useful. The description says "dining" it is a dining set only if you are planning a buffet with people holding plates in their laps or putting them down on the table to get up. It's more expensive now than when I bought it and I would not buy it a second time. That said, I have gotten good use out of it.
