I wear my hair in a short, cropped, Platinum Blonde Pixie, and the upkeep on the color and cut, is very hard as well as expensive. In addition, I'm growing out the front, which as anyone knows who has grown out a crop, can get really ugly while you're waiting!I chose this Tony of Beverly style, because it was closest to my usual color and hairstyle and it has proven to be the perfect answer for me!First, don't be deceived by the conservative look of this style in the photo. This wig has a unique circular mono section on the upper left side, right at the back of the head where a natural part would begin. This allows for the hair to spill forward, in true Tinkerbell Pixie fashion. In addition, while the model in the photo has the bangs trimmed short above the brow line, I have chosen to leave the bangs longer in a feathered sweep, a la 'Pink' and Rianna, for a just enough 'hair in my eyes' look.Arden has just the right amount of hair to look natural, rather than a heavy, overpowering 'hair helmet' look that a lot of wigs have.The hair moves naturally in the wind, and blows around just like real hair, so that you will have to brush your bangs aside, very realistically. If you do decide to trim the bangs, I highly recommend the Gilette Battery operated Pro Styler. It has 3 trim heads, that trim perfectly, (just the very edges) into perfect a blend, without using a tricky hand razor, or a scissor that will leave lines. The Pro Styler will not fray the ends like a hand razor does, and it will look perfect!A big plus for Arden, is that it does not have the high shine plastic look that light blonde wigs have! Most require some baby powder worked though them to take it down, but not this one! Initially out of the box, it has some shine to it, but enough to look like you just came out of the Salon. The shine does disappear as it oxidizes, but it maintains a healthy hair look.I use a high quality wig shampoo, (Jon Renau) to wash it, then shake out the excess water, and roll it in a towel gently squeezing it. I hang it from the back tag, so that the hair is drying upside down, which gives it more volume. (I don't recommend drying it or storing it on a 'head', as it stretches the elastic inside. Store it flat in the box, or leave it hanging upside down, which will give the elastic resting time.) It drys very quickly, and I've even used a blow dryer on COLD, to blow up the volume. (Do NOT use any heat setting, including WARM)On a final note, Arden truly is ready to wear, right out of the box. It doesn't need time to find it's way, or settle down. I do recommend that if you do purchase one, when it arrives, wear it for a few hours, so that it settles into the shape of your head. You will be amazed at how comfortable and realistic it feels, and how you will naturally begin to brush the hair aside, tuck it behind your ears, and yes, even run your hand through the top, without fear of slippage, or exposing the hairline!I have purchased 3 Ardens, all from Vega Beauty here on Amazon, and they are simply the best, always providing me with5Star Customer Service.The quality control from Tony of Beverly is superb, and there has been no variation from wig to wig. It's going to be very hard going back to my real hair, when I've had nothing but perfect hair days wearing this!
