I really hate all the reviews that were posted. I almost didn't buy this chair, but the price sucked me in. 1st, I bought the chair because of its size and someone's review that stated perfect for a smaller room. Well, it is perfect for a smaller room. Mine. I wanted a smaller recliner that I could put in my room for reading purposes. I hated lying down with pillows. Uncomfotable... So 1 reviewer stated it didn't come with hardware and they are right, the screws did not come in the box, however I can still use my chair without them since you slide the back in place. I carefully without using a heavy hand gently pulled out the handle and my chair reclined nicely. I pulled my legs down slowly to close the recline and no problems. Maybe the screws have something to do with the problem, I don't know but haven't needed to put wd-40 either which I was fully prepared to do. My daughter wanted me to get one of these from big lots but I stuck to my guns and bought and love this chair. I am always careful and not rough with my things so I see me having this chair for a while. I am a165 lb women, 53 years old. Chair fits me perfect and I can read more comfortably and take a little snooze if I want to. Love this chair and the price. Be careful with this chair and you will have it a long time. If anything changes I will let you know.. Chair feels sturdy as far as the frame goes, doesn't squeak at all. Filling is firm so you won't sink in it. Great chair for the price. I would definitely recommend. My inspiration was my son was born in Arcadia, California... Great Arcadia Recliner...
