This is by far one of the best furniture purchases I have ever made in this price range. These stools look so high end that I couldn't imagine a more expense stool looking any better. The seat material feels like suede. It has color and texture variations - I'd described it as a distressed leather look. I bought 3 for my kitchen island last April, and I couldn't be happier. This is not a small, narrow stool. The cushioned seat is 18" round and 3" thick and very comfortable. The seat cleans easily with a vacuum attachment or damp cloth. It's sturdy and the seat spins. I have a 66" space at my bar and 3 fit perfectly. There isn't anything I don't like about these stools. Great deal!
