I have a boot from five years ago that is a 38 regular and it is very roomy, even with really thick socks. Unfortunately, although the width was fine, these were much too short. I ordered 38 and 39 (both narrow) hoping one would fit. I found it a bit surprising how different each style fits, given that they are built around the same footbed. The boots are well-made and the leather lining is soft and supple.
