By being a wire cage the strength of the cage is when it is assembled correctly. Some buyers receive the package and expect heavy wire, these cages have 2.9, 2.4 & 1.5 mm wire construction.

It works as a bird cage fine. I will say that the cage does not sit on top of the stand. I could not just rest the cage on top without it overbalancing, and I had to build small shelves to put as support.The cage wires are definitely not strong made either, they are just very thin. Some of them were not welded very well, so they were poking away from the horizontal bars on the door. Also, assembling it was very challenging as I had to use pliers to secure the edges.The slide out tray option, the many doors, the fact that you can roll it around, and the lightness of it is all great. I would say if you are looking for a portable cage to move around the house that is light and spacious this is fine. I have a cockatiel and it seems to be fine. I would say if you have a chronic chewer or a heavier anical, this Is not for you.As a product recommendation, the stand should come with shelves so the cage can sit on that and then you can put things underneath. I used simple wood and it works fine. Also, make sure all the wires are welded well so that there are not poking wires or un-fitting sides.
