NOVICA, in association with National Geographic, works together with talented artisan designers around the world to produce stunning, keepsake treasures. Our mantra is to spread global happiness, so rest assured - we’ll do everything we possibly can to ensure you’re a happy customer. About this item: Symbolizing strength, this carving revels in the power of authentic and ancestral design. Known as a horn mask, the piece presents the face of an Ashanti king, his powerful expression elongated by vertical protrusions. Robert Nortey and the artisans of Robandy Limited shape the piece from sese wood, using embossed brass plates to exalt the royal aspect. About our Artist: Robert Nortey left his brother's workshop to start on his own. Presently, he works along with expert artists, all designers and carvers. Robert focuses on design and works with local Ghanaian woods. 'I love my art and I hope to produce more interesting designs for my customers,' says Robert, who has participated in countless exhibitions, always achieving positive results.
