My house works backward, due to the ducts being not quite set up right. Hot air rises in the summer, and falls in the winter. I bought these and now I can better equalize the temperature. They do make what I call "white noise," so don't expect them to be quiet. But I can sleep in my bedroom in the winter now (builder didn't put enough air ducts for the size of the room)!
