I bought these as "used - like new" with only package damage noted. It took a long time to receive them. They looked nice on the advertisement picture. When I got them, the package was barely hanging on. No problem. I got the glasses out and put them on and it seemed awkward looking through them but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I then showed my kids, ages 29 and 33. They both laughed at me and told me I looked like I was wearing the kind of big dark glasses my late blind grandmother (who was in her 80s) used to wear over her eyes when she got eye exams with dilation. You know the ones. So feeling defeated, I wore them back to my room to put them back in the box but then I figured out what the problem is with the glasses. There's a warped defect line in the line of vision where, if you are looking through them at TV or outside, it's totally dark. Something is wrong with them. Dangerous if you're driving or active and your vision gets blocked! I noted that in my return. I now see that same pair of glasses back for sale at a higher price as "used - like new" than what I paid. So all in all, use your discretion on that pair, and then decide if you like really big wrap-around glasses at your age. I'm 54, not blind, and certainly not elderly. Have a great day!
