I have this for hunting, it makes a loud click upon release. The release is hard to close with one hand onto your d-loop but after using it a bunch you develop your own technique and it gets easier. It's very adjustable, which is nice. But I have replaces the thumb knob with something larger. Over all it's good, not for $260 though. I would be ok with competition shooting with this release, but it makes too much noise attaching it to your d-loop, and is loud on the shot.
